Cobourg Family Day Municipal Closures and Local Events

The Town of Cobourg would like to advise residents of municipal closures and local activities being planned for this weekend, due to the Family Day holiday.

Municipal Closures on Monday, February 19, 2024 (Family Day), include:

• Victoria Hall (55 King Street West)

• Victoria Hall Box Office, closed for in person ticket purchases. Tickets are available online at ExperienceCobourg.ca.

• Venture13 Innovation & Entrepreneurship Centre (739 D’Arcy Street)

• Building 7 Public Works will be closed, however on-call staff can be reached for emergencies by calling the after-hours number: 905-372-9971.

• Art Gallery of Northumberland (55 King Street West, Third Floor, West Wing)

• Cobourg Public Library (200 Ontario Street)

Cobourg Transit will be running on its regular schedule on Monday, February 19.

Community Events Taking Place Family Day Weekend

Book Reading: My Beautiful Curly Hair
Art Gallery of Northumberland (Victoria Hall, 55 King Street West), Saturday, February 17, 1-2 p.m.

The Town of Cobourg and Art Gallery of Northumberland invite the community to a book reading of My Beautiful Curly Hair by author Arya Holder and daughter Kiana. This family event will foster open dialogue about different cultural attributes while celebrating creative expression of black culture with the mantra “All hair is good!”

Family Day Fun Fair at The Cobourg Lions Community Centre
Cobourg Lions Community Centre (157 Elgin St E.), Saturday, February 17, 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Lions Club of Cobourg welcomes everyone this Saturday to a free and fun event featuring a bouncy castle, prizes, Curvy the Unicorn, Melvin the Lion and more! Stay for a hot dog lunch. A bin will be available for nonperishable food donations.

New Frontier Presents: King of Kombat 2024
Cobourg Community Centre (750 D’Arcy Street), Saturday, February 17, 7 to 10:30 p.m.
Eight men from across Canada compete in a three round single elimination tournament to decide who is the 2024 King of Kombat! Tickets are available online:

Family Day In Cobourg
Rotary Harbourfront Outdoor Skating Rink (35 Albert Street), Monday, February 19, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Experience Cobourg is pleased to present the Town of Cobourg’s annual Family Day in
Cobourg at the Rotary Harbourfront Rink. Enjoy skating at the outdoor rink with a DJ spinning tunes. Grab a warm drink and a fresh baked good from one of the tasty bakeries downtown
Cobourg.

Family Day Festival
Fellowship Baptist Church Cobourg (468 Elgin Street West Cobourg), February 19, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
FBC’s Family Day Festival is back for another year with fun activities from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the whole family! The best part is it’s all free! The event includes tobogganing (with or
without snow), horse drawn carriage rides, campfires and s’mores, games, face painting, a balloon artist, crafts, activities for the kids, free lunch and snacks, board games, prizes, music and more!

Cobourg YMCA Family Day Fun

Free Family Fishing
Ontario Family Fishing Events is a province-wide opportunity for Canadian residents to fish Ontario waters without the otherwise mandatory fishing version outdoors card. The Ontario
