Belleville Police Service – Drug Trafficking Arrests (Names Released)

Following a lengthy investigation into the sale and distribution of illicit drugs into the Quinte Community, on the 13th of February, members of Project Renewal along with the Belleville Police Emergency Response Unit, Belleville Police K9 Team and the Quinte West OPP Community Street Crime Unit conducted a traffic stop in Quinte West. Following the traffic stop, a search warrant was conducted at a residence in Trenton. As a result of the traffic stop and the search warrant, two people were arrested and charged. The following items were seized as evidence:
· Fentanyl – 16.6 grams
· 6 grams of Psilocybin
· 1.8 grams of cocaine
· 0.9 grams crystal
· Taser
· Canadian currency
· Cellular devices
· Drug paraphernalia
· Drug trafficking evidence (Debt list, packaging, scales)

Corey Honyust, 38-years-old of Trenton was charged with the following offences:
· CDSA 5(2) – Possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking – Fentanyl.
· CDSA 5(2) – Possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking – Psilocybin
· CDSA 5(2) – Possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking – Crystal Meth.
· CDSA 5(2) – Possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine.
· CC 354(1)(a) – Possession of property obtained by crime – under $5000.
· CC 91(2) – Unauthorized possession of prohibited weapon or device
· CC 145(5)(a) – Fail to Comply with a Release Order
· HTA 53(1) – Drive Under Suspension

At the time of arrest, Honyust was also subject to a Judicial Release Order issued by the courts on charges of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime.

Honyust was held in custody for a bail hearing.

Jennifer Sweet, 37-years-old of Trenton was charged with the following offences:
· CDSA 5(2) – Possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking – Fentanyl.
· CDSA 5(2) – Possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking – Psilocybin
· CDSA 5(2) – Possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking – Crystal Meth.
· CDSA 5(2) – Possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine.
· CC 354(1)(a) – Possession of property obtained by crime – under $5000.
· CC 91(2) – Unauthorized possession of prohibited weapon or device

Sweet was held in custody for a bail hearing.

Later, in the early morning hours of the 14th of February, another search warrant was conducted at an address in Scarborough. As a result of the search warrant, two people were arrested and charged. The following items were seized as evidence:
· Cocaine – 264.3 grams
· $5270.00 in Canadian Currency
· Cellular devices

Billy Murinda, 35-years-old of Scarborough was charged with the following offences:
· CDSA 5(2) – Possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine.
· CC 354(1)(a) – Possession of property obtained by crime – over $5000.
· CC 733.1(1) – Fail to comply with a Probation Order.

Murinda was held in custody for a bail hearing.

Danielle Daley-Douglas, 23-years-old of Scarborough is charged with the following offences:
· CDSA 5(2) – Possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine.
· CC 354(1)(a) – Possession of property obtained by crime – over $5000.
· 145(5)(a) – Failure to comply with a Release Order.

At the time of arrest, Daley-Douglas was also subject to a Judicial Release Order issued by the courts on three separate charges of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime.

Daley-Douglas was held in custody for a bail hearing.
