‘Toys for Tickets’ Program in Port Hope

In City Hall, Local

The Municipality of Port Hope is pleased to announce the new ‘Toys for Tickets’ program, offering residents a chance to turn a parking ticket into holiday cheer. Parking tickets issued between December 1 and December 15 can be paid with a donation instead of cash. Acceptable donations include new, unwrapped children’s toys, non-perishable food items, clothing for infants and children, and gift certificates for teenagers.

All gifts must be in their original packaging and should not require batteries or glue. War toys will not be accepted. The value of the donation (excluding taxes) must be equal to or greater than the amount owed on the Parking Infraction Notice. Proof of purchase and the Infraction Notice must be presented at the time of donation.

Donations can be dropped off at Fire Station 1, 245 Ontario Street, Port Hope, Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., between December 1 and December 18. This program is a wonderful way to support local families and spread holiday joy while clearing your ticket. For more information on this program please review our Paying a Parking Ticket webpage.
