Police arrested four individuals after executing a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence in the Town of Cobourg. As part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking in the Town of Cobourg, on April 21, 2026, members of the Cobourg Police Service and Port Hope Police Service Criminal Investigation Bureaus, with assistance from Cobourg Police Uniform Patrol, the Belleville Police Service Emergency Response Unit, and the Belleville Police Service K9 Unit, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence in the area of King Street and Division Street. Police seized the following:
•170 grams fentanyl
•60 grams of cocaine
•20 grams of methamphetamine
•Multiple cellphones
•Weigh scales
•Packaging materials
The total street value of the drugs seized was approximately $31,000. This amounts to approximately 1,700 potentially fatal doses of drugs.
As a result of the investigation, 33-year-old Stephanie GREER, 25-year-old Izik HOOPER, 43-year-old Christopher KNEILANDS, and 51-year-old Virginia BAILEY were charged with the following:
•Possession for the purpose of trafficking schedule I substance – fentanyl
•Possession for the purpose of trafficking schedule I substance – methamphetamine
•Possession for the purpose of trafficking schedule I substance – cocaine
Christopher KNEILANDS and Virginia BAILEY were each additionally charged with possession of a schedule I substance.
Christopher KNEILANDS and Izik HOOPER were each additionally charged with failing to comply with probation.
All four were held in custody for a bail hearing.
