Port Hope Fire and Emergency Services Responds to Burning Smell at the Beamish House

Port Hope Fire and Emergency Services attended the Beamish House on Friday, April 5, 2025 for the smell of burning electrical.

With a number of fire apparatus on scene shortly after 11 a.m., John Street was closed off with the assistance of Port Hope Police.

After a thorough search inside and on the roof area, firefighters determined it was a overheated light fixture on the wall.

There was no damage.
