Kristina (Adams) Brauch of the West Northumberland Curling Club is set to play for Team Newfoundland and Labrador at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

The WNCC shared the news in a social media post, noting Brauch joined the Cobourg-based club this year and curls in its Tuesday Night Mixed Competitive League alongside Reis Brauch, Kaitlin Jewer and Brian Darling.

“It’s been wonderful to have this team as part of our club and league and we’re thrilled to see Kristina’s success on the provincial stage” the post stated.

Brauch, listed as Kristina Adams on the roster, is the second for skip Mackenzie Mitchell and the provincial champs from Newfoundland and Labrador.

The Scotties Tournament of Hearts national women’s curling championship gets underway Friday night in Mississauga and concludes Saturday, Feb. 1.
