Event brings famous Canadian band to local community for an intimate night of live music.

In partnership with the Cobourg Cougars Jr. A Hockey Club the Town of Cobourg is pleased to announce that Blue Rodeo will be performing a live concert at the Cobourg Community Centre (CCC) on Thursday, June 16, 2022.

As one of Canada’s most iconic country rock bands, Blue Rodeo will return almost exactly 10 years to the day since they performed at the Cobourg Community Centre. The Blue Rodeo
performance will include a variety of songs from their 16 studio albums released over an impressive 35-year career.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be partnering with the Town of Cobourg once again with the hosting of this premier event and bringing some excitement and awareness to our community, hockey
and local business partners, especially after such a long hiatus due to the pandemic,” said Marc Mercier, Governor for the Cobourg Cougars. “This is a true partnership for Northumberland
Hockey, having all local clubs at all levels involved and with us being able to give back to all organizations and the community at large through this event”.

The doors will open at 6:30 p.m., with guest opener musician Evan Farrell kicking the concert off at 7:30 p.m. The evening’s guest emcee will be Joe Bowen, the voice for the Toronto Maple
Leafs. In addition to bringing an exciting live event to the Town of Cobourg and surrounding community, funds raised through the performance will go towards supporting local Northumberland hockey clubs.

“It’s time to bring back in-person concerts and energize our community after years of isolation and restrictions,” said Councillor Adam Bureau, Coordinator of Arts, Culture and Tourism for the
Town of Cobourg. “We are extremely pleased to partner with the Cobourg Cougars bringing live music to an intimate setting while raising awareness and support for our local hockey organizations.”

Partnering with the Cobourg Cougars and the Town of Cobourg, Ganaraska Brewing Company has signed on as the Co-Presenting Sponsor for the event. Other event partners include the
Northumberland Minor Hockey Association (NMHA), West Northumberland Girls Hockey Association (WNGHA), and the Port Hope Panthers Jr. C Hockey Club and local radio stations
93.3 myFM and Classic Rock 107.9. The goal is to also include other support clubs in the area as planning is underway.
