Municipality of Brighton Holding Static Christmas Parade

In Local, Upcoming Events

The Municipality of Brighton’s Community Events Committee is organizing a static parade that will take place on November 19 from 7:00pm-9:00pm in the Brighton Industrial Park.

Lloyd Hutchison is a long-time resident and Chair of the Community Events Committee, he wanted to make sure the community had a parade this year, “Our committee has
been working hard to have a static parade this year. Last year our parade was cancelled so our committee wanted to make sure we had a parade this year by having a
drive by parade.”

The Static Parade will utilize the streets in the industrial park area. Road safety and COVID-19 protocols are in place to ensure the safety of all residents. The map below illustrates the parade route.

The Parade will host, community and business floats, live bands, and a special visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Mayor Brian Ostrander is pleased that the community can enjoy the parade safely, “Council is pleased that our Community Events team can provide a static parade for the community to enjoy this holiday season. We look forward to seeing as many people as can join us to on November 19th!”

If you would like to enter a float in the parade please contact Ben Hagerman, bhagerman@brighton.ca before November 15 to register.
