Spirits Are Lifted – Patios Open

Patios are once again opened and it seemed to come at the perfect time.

With COVID restrictions easing for the first time in a number of weeks, people came out to enjoy the day amongst friends at various patios in Cobourg and Port Hope on June 12, 2021.

Owner of the Beamish House in Port Hope, Jessica Dodd said it was a gorgeous Saturday to be on the patio.

“We’re really excited. It’s nice to be open after all this time shut down and the weather is beautiful.”

Dodd said when the announcement was made by the Provincial Government within the first two hours, the Beamish House had 37 voice messages for reservations.

“People were excited to reserve a table and get out on the patio. Everyone’s spirits have been great. People are feeling good and ready to put all this behind us and move forward.”
