Two Persons Deceased After Residential Fire In City of Kawartha Lakes

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – This morning at approximately 8:39 a.m., the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call pertaining to a residential fire on Young Street, near Sebright.

Officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the OPP attended the residence and continue to be on scene, along with members of the Ontario Fire Marshalls office, as the investigation is on-going.

Initial investigation indicated that five person s were able to exit the residence without injury. Two persons are deceased. At this time the fire does not appear to be suspicious.
