Each event is hosted at Venture13, located at 739 D’Arcy Street in Cobourg. From exploring built heritage, to workplace conflict resolution and networking for entrepreneurs, learn about

Revenue Growth Series – Wednesday, November 8 | 8 to 9:30 a.m, Lecture Hall
This partnered event will highlight Carol Yajun Jiang, President and CEO of Beneco Packaging. Beneco Packaging is a reliable box packaging company in the food and beverage industry. With over 250,000 sq ft of production and warehouse facilities in Cobourg and Scarborough. Beneco is accredited with IFS PacSecure certification and has 25 years of experience in the printing and packaging sector. Ms. Jiang is an accomplished entrepreneur, recognized as one of Canada’s Top Female Entrepreneurs in Chatelaine Profit W100 for 2014 and 2015. She was also nominated for the RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Award in 2018. Under Ms. Jiang’s leadership, Beneco has become one of Canada’s fastest-growing companies, appearing on the Profit 500 list from 2013 to 2021.

Succession planning for an entrepreneur involves careful consideration and preparation for the eventual transition of leadership and ownership within their business. Entrepreneurs often
have a deeply personal connection to their ventures, making the succession process unique and complex. Collaborating with the Business and Entrepreneurship Centre of Northumberland
and the Business Development Bank of Canada, this event will gather experts, practitioners and businesses that have gone through the succession process to share insights, strategies,
and best practices.
Post Secondary Spotlight: Loyalist College – Tuesday, December 5 | 8:30 to 10 a.m., NSSL Seminar Room
The Economic Development Department is launching a new program series to promote dynamic business-academic collaborations for businesses. The initiative, focusing on post-secondary schools, aims to bridge the gap between academia and real-world applications.
This spotlight series seminar will demonstrate innovative solutions that integrates academic research, industry expertise and business operations.
