There were smiles, cheers and everyone was a winner at the 17th anniversary of the Strong Kids Duathlon on Thursday, August 21, 2025 in Cobourg.

Children from ages three to fifteen-years-old took part in the annual event that started off at the Centennial Pool and then Victoria Park.

Kathryn Harrison, Director of Marketing said the event isn’t a race, “it’s all about kids enjoying being active. They get to run, swim and cheer each other on along with their families.”

The event isn’t about who comes in first, “it’s about being apart of something together and being cheered on while challenging each other.”

Funds raised from the event go towards Mothers of Newborns program. This important program provides mothers and their babies with an easy and safe path toward wellness while creating a network of support during babies’ first year.
