Downtown Snow Removal Begins at Midnight on Wednesday, January 28

The Public Works Division will be conducting overnight snow removal in Downtown Cobourg in the early morning hours of Wednesday, January 28, 2026. Work will begin at 12 a.m. (midnight) and continue until approximately 7 a.m. on Wednesday.

The following streets will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic from 12 a.m. to 7 a.m. on January 28 for snow removal operations:

• King Street from Ball Street to College Street

• Spring Street from Orange Street to King Street West

• Hibernia Street from King Street West to Albert Street

• George Street from Orange Street to King Street West

• Albert Street from Hibernia Street to Division Street

• Queen Street from Division Street to McGill Street

• Division Street from Covert Street to The Esplanade

• McGill Street from King Street East to Queen Street

Road closure signage will be up to allow crews to compete this work safely. Routes will remain open to emergency vehicles only. The Town of Cobourg appreciates the efforts of its residents in parking off-street to allow for safe and efficient snow removal operations during the winter season.
