Cobourg Police – Second Arrest in Weapons Investigation (No Name Released)

A second arrest was made in an ongoing weapons investigation.

On September 6, 2025, the Cobourg Police Service Criminal Investigation Bureau made an arrest in an ongoing weapons investigation after receiving information about the presence of unregistered firearms in a residence in Cobourg.

As a result of further information gained through the police investigation, a second arrest has been made.

On September 11, 2025, a second arrest was made as a result of the investigation. A 65-year-old woman from Cobourg was arrested and charged with two counts of Careless Storage of a Firearm, two counts of Unauthorized possession of a Firearm, two counts of Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, and Breach of Recognizance. The accused was held for a bail hearing. The accused’s identity is being withheld to protect the identity of the witnesses.
