Peterborough Police – Incidents Include, Warrant Arrest, Drug Arrest, Impaired Arrest (No Names Released)

Traffic Stop/Drug Arrest

A 54-year-old Peterborough woman wanted on a warrant is facing more charges after a traffic stop Tuesday morning.

At approximately 1:40am on June 10, 2025, an officer on general patrol in the Rubidge Street and Sherbrooke Street area conducted a traffic stop.  While conducting the traffic stop, the passenger in the vehicle was found to be wanted on an outstanding warrant related to previous driving offences and taken into custody. During a search after arrest, officers seized a bag belonging to the passenger and found: (Image below)

  • 120.4 grams of Cocaine
  • 10 pills
  • Just over $900 in Canadian Currency

As a result of the investigation, a 54-year-old Peterborough woman was arrested on the strength of the warrant and further charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Other Drugs
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000 – in Canada

The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, June 10, 2025.

 

Impaired Arrest

A 57-year-old Bailieboro man is facing impaired and driving charges after an incident Monday afternoon.

At approximately 2:10pm on June 9, 2025, officers received a call about a vehicle being driven erratically into oncoming lanes and going from faster speeds to slower speeds at random on Highway 28 near Moore Drive.  Officers were able to locate the vehicle and make a traffic stop. Upon speaking with the driver, they noticed signs of impairment.

As a result of the investigation, a 57-year-old Bailieboro man was arrested and charged with:

  • Dangerous Operations
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was issued an automatic 90-day license suspension and seven-day vehicle impoundment.

The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court July 22, 2025.

 

Warrant Arrest

A 35-year-old Peterborough man wanted on multiple warrants was arrested Monday afternoon.

At approximately 2:00pm on June 9, 2025, an officer on general patrol in the Medical Drive and Sherbrooke Street area spotted the man walking, stopped and took him into custody.  The man was wanted on warrants for theft under $5000 x3, fail to comply with probation x8, fail to comply with undertaking, break and enter, mischief under $5000, theft of motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, use of credit card, fail to attend for fingerprinting, and fail to comply with undertaking.

The man was arrested on the strength of the warrants and is being held in custody.  He will appear in court today, June 10, 2025.

 

Warrant Arrest

A 38-year-old Peterborough woman wanted on warrants was arrested by Community F.I.R.S.T Monday night.

At approximately 7:45pm on June 9, 2025, officers with Community F.I.R.S.T were on general patrol in the Reid Street and Simcoe Street area and spotted the woman in a parking lot.  The officer aware there were warrants for her arrest for theft under $5000 X2, breach of probation order X2 and failure to attend court and took her into custody. She is being held and will appear in court today, June 10, 2025.
