Upcoming Filming Activities in Port Hope

KG MOVIE INC. will be in town next week filming scenes for their upcoming film Karate Ghost.

Filming will take place downtown and around East Beach.

No road closures are anticipated for this filming, intermittent traffic and pedestrian stops are expected to last one to three minutes.

Location One
Filming will take place around East Beach with the following impacts:

Mill Street South (from south of the fish cleaning station to Madison Street)

Intermittent traffic and pedestrian control: 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Parking impacts: The production company will occupy the overflow lot at 95 Mill Street South, some parking in the south Fish Cleaning Station parking lot, and the dock parking on the west side of Mill Street South

Madison Street (from Mill Street South to King Street)

Intermittent traffic and pedestrian control: 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Parking impacts: The production company will occupy the parking on the south side of Madison Street
Anglers, boaters, and East Beach patrons: please note that parking in this area will be limited while filming takes place and the East Beach Park will be closed during filming.

Location Two

Filming will take place in the downtown core with the following impacts:

Walton Street (Ontario Street to Lent Lane)

Intermittent traffic and pedestrian control: 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Parking Impacts: The production company will occupy the south side (Lent Lane to Queen Street) from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Queen Street (from Walton Street to Port Hope Library)

Intermittent traffic and pedestrian control: 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Parking Impacts: The production company will occupy street parking (both sides) from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Lent Lane (Walton Street area)

Intermittent pedestrian control: 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Transit Impacts

While there will be no major impact to our Transit Service, riders may experience short delays due to the intermittent traffic stops.
