Operation Red Nose in Belleville Celebrates the 2024 Season

Operation Red Nose celebrated the 2024 season at a banquet on February 28th , 2025.

It was another successful year thanks to dedicated volunteers and generous sponsors helping to raise
$24,000 for the YMCA camp program.

During the Operation Red Nose season 454 rides were provided with 898 individuals arriving home safely. Thanks to a wonderful group of 340 volunteers, a total of 15,770km were driven.

and dedicated volunteers. Your generous support and tireless efforts made it possible for us to provide a
safe and caring service to those who needed it most. Together, we helped create a positive impact in
our community, and we are deeply grateful for your commitment to this important cause. Your
involvement truly makes a difference—thank you for helping us drive change and ensure a safe holiday
season for everyone”, commented Patricia Guernsey, Co-Chair Operation Red Nose.

“We are deeply honored and grateful to accept the proceeds from Operation Red Nose to go towards
YMCA of Central East Ontario camp program. These generous contributions are a testament to the
incredible support of our community, sponsors, and volunteers”, commented Sarah Rozema-Seaton,
Strong Kids Co-Chair.

Operation Red Nose is a non-profit organization with a mission to encourage responsible behaviour with
regards to impaired driving, in a non-judgmental manner. The money it raises is redistributed to local
organizations dedicated to youth and amateur sports, and invested in responsible consumption and

YMCA of Central East Ontario
The YMCA of Central East Ontario, Belleville and John Williams branches, are pleased to be the host
organization for Operation Red Nose. Proceeds raised through Operation Red Nose support the YMCA
Strong Kids Campaign to ensure that children and families are able to access YMCA programs and
services in our community, regardless of their financial situation.
