Video – 26th Annual Friends for Life Bike Rally Stops in Port Hope

The first leg of the 26th annual Friends for Life Bike Rally wheeled into Port Hope on Sunday, August 5, 2024.

The Friends for Life Bike Rally is the only volunteer-led ride, that brings people together for an inclusive, supportive, and life-changing challenge that inspires much-needed help for people living with HIV/AIDS in Toronto, Kingston and Montréal.

The first leg of the race was from Toronto to Port Hope where the riders stayed over night in tents the Port Hope Agricultural Park/Town Park Recreation Centre.

The riders will head out on Sunday with the ride eventually ending in Montreal.

There are 100 km and 300 km options, and a 600 km ride to Montreal.

Two-hundred people are riding to Montreal, 12 riders are doing the three-day ride and eight riders did the one-day ride.

There are 97 crew members accompanying the bike riders.

In 2024 the number of donations has been 8,500 with the amount raised so far at $1,300,000.
