Cobourg Police – Woman Charged with Distribute Intimate Images Without Consent

A 33-year-old woman has been charged with distributing intimate images without consent.

On April 2, 2023, police commenced an investigation after receiving a report regarding non-consensual distribution of intimate images.

On April 6, 2023, as a result of the police investigation, a 33-year-old Cobourg woman was arrested and charged with the following offences:

1. Four counts of Distribute Intimate Image without Consent contrary to section 162.1(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC)

2. Two counts of Indecent Communications contrary to section 372(2) CCC

The accused was released on an undertaking with a future court date
