Upcoming Walton Street Bridge Closure in Port Hope

In Local

(Today’s Northumberland file photo)

The Walton Street bridge (from Mill Street South to Queen Street) will be closed on Monday, June 29 to allow for repairs to the road cuts on both sides of the bridge (weather permitting). These repairs are related to the watermain break that occurred in December.

Please note that additional work will be required in the future as we plan for the long-term repair of the watermain located beneath the bridge and river.

Transit Impacts
Transit Services will re-route around this closure. As a result, bus stop A1 will be out of service for the day.
