On the evening of June 24, 2026, members of the Port Hope Police Service arrested Cassandra Quigley-Solinski and Jacob Nastuk in connection with a series of thefts from vehicles that occurred throughout the Municipality of Port Hope over the past several weeks.

Since early June, officers have been investigating multiple reports of vehicles being entered and property stolen.

As a result of the investigation:

Jacob Nastuk has been charged with:

Fail to Comply with Probation Order X 5

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 X 5

Unauthorized Use of Credit Card Data X 13

Cassandra Quigley-Solinski has been charged with:

Fail to Comply with Probation Order X 7

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 X 3

Both accused were held for a bail hearing.

The Port Hope Police Service reminds residents to always lock their vehicles, remove valuables from plain view, and report any suspicious activity immediately. These simple steps can significantly reduce the likelihood of becoming a victim of theft.
