Cobourg Police Woman Arrested for Outstanding Warrant

On Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at approximately 4:00 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the George Street area. While speaking with the driver, officers observed a passenger currently wanted on an outstanding warrant by the Cobourg Police Service.

As a result of the investigation Stacey Watson (36) of Acton, Ontario was arrested and charged with the following offences:

1) Fail to Attend Court: Contrary to Section 145(2)(b) Criminal Code of Canada.

2) Obstruct Peace Officer: Contrary to section 129(a) Criminal Code of Canada.

3) Fail to Comply with release Order: Contrary to Section 145(5)(a) Criminal Code of Canada.

4) Fail to Attend Court: Contrary to Section 145(2)(b) Criminal Code of Canada.

5) Perjury: Contrary to Section 131 Criminal Code of Canada.

6) Obstruct Justice: Contrary to Section 139(1) Criminal Code of Canada

Watson was held for a show cause hearing.
