Zachary COMEAU arrested, search for second suspect continues

(TRENT HILLS, ON) – Members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), under the direction of OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, have arrested one of the individuals, wanted in connection with a homicide investigation in Trent Hills.

On Thursday, September 16, 2021, at approximately 8:12 a.m., Northumberland OPP, along with Northumberland Paramedics, responded to reports of a male at a residence suffering from a suspected gunshot wound. The victim, identified as Andrew Brenton BROWN, 38 years of age, of Warkworth, succumbed to his injuries.

On October 17, 2021, members of the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU) executed a search warrant at a residential property in the City of Barrie and arrested Zachary COMEAU, age 18,  for Second Degree Murder.

The accused is being held for a bail hearing on October 18, 2021, at the Ontario Court of Justice in the Town of Cobourg.

Investigators are continuing their search for a second suspect, Kaveon Terry Marcus Symeon DANIEL, 19 years of age, of Mississauga, described as a black male, approximately 5’10”, 130lbs, with brown eyes and brown hair. An arrest warrant exists for this individual.

If Kaveon Terry Marcus Symeon DANIEL is seen, DO NOT APPROACH and call 9-1-1 immediately.
