DQ Miracle Treat Is Going Virtual

The DQ Miracle Treat is going virtual.

The annual event was cancelled in August, but is happening this year from October 5-11 at least $2 from every Blizzard sold going to a local children’s hospital.

Sarah Marshall started the DQ Miracle Treat Day in Cobourg 15-years ago when she was six-years-old.

The Cobourg store alone has raised approximately $200,000 which goes towards the Children’s Miracle Network, which then supports Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto.

In 2006 Marshall was the Champion Child for London Children’s Hospital, but since she couldn’t attend, they asked the local DQ for support and it’s been a success each and every year thanks to the community.

Marshall was born with a syndrome called MMIHS which affected her major organs. At five months and 24 days she had life-saving surgery and received a multi-organ transplant including a stomach, pancreas, liver and bowel.
