Colborne Couple Celebrates $100,000 ENCORE Win

In Local

Saying “yes” to ENCORE paid off for Florence and Gladstone Jackson of Colborne. The pair matched the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the October 23, 2019 LOTTO 6/49 draw to win $100,000!

“The store clerk told me I won something big and I was very happy,” shared Gladstone, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up their winnings. “I called my wife immediately.”

Gladstone said his wife, Florence, was very calm when he shared the big news with her. “She was pretty quiet,” he laughed. “Then I took the ticket and locked it away.”

The married couple will save their winnings and help family. “We still don’t believe it – it’s too much to take in,” they concluded.

ENCORE offers 22 ways to win and can be played in conjunction with most lottery games for an extra $1. There is an ENCORE draw every day.

The winning ticket was purchased at Downey Pharmacy on King Street in Colborne.
