Breaking News – Cobourg Police Investigating Sudden Death At Residence

Cobourg Police are investigating a death at an address on John Street in Cobourg on Saturday, November 30, 2019.

At approximately 7:30 p.m. Cobourg Police, Cobourg Fire and Northumberland County Paramedics were dispatched to the John Street address for a person who was vital signs absent.

Emergency services were told that CPR was in progress at the time of the 9-1-1 call.

While emergency services were at the scene, three people walked up and entered the residence before being told abruptly by one of the occupants to leave, “someone’s dead” yelled the person to the three individuals.

A coroner along with Cobourg Police Forensics were called to the scene.

On November 14, 2019 Cobourg Police conducted a search warrant where four individuals were charged.

There are presently five Cobourg Police vehicles around the scene. One officer said it is being treated as a crime scene until proven otherwise.

A person told Today’s Northumberland occupants of the residence were told by police to stay in their rooms until further notice.

Today’s Northumberland will give further updates when they become available.
