Dump Truck Rollover North of Port Hope

In Editor Choice, Local

A dump truck flipped over on County Road 28 just north of Dale Road in the Municipality of Port Hope around 8 a.m. on December 18, 2018.
Northumberland OPP said the dump truck was driving south and when it crested a hill became temporarily blinded by the sun.
A bus had slowed/stopped to pick up children and other vehicles along with the dump truck.
The dump truck slammed on the brakes and took evasive action to avoid rear ending the other vehicles, went in the ditch and rolled on its side.
The driver wasn’t injured and the southbound lane was closed until the vehicle was removed.
No charges resulting from the accident.
