(NORTHUMBERLAND, ON) – Officers from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police charged two drivers with Impaired by drug in the month of September.
On September 1, 2018 officers responded to a single motor vehicle collision on County Road 45 near School House Road in Alnwick- Haldimand Township involving a grey sedan.
Following an investigation the driver, 56 year old Michael Ward BEAVER of Alderville, Ontario is charges with the following offences:
– Driving While Ability Impaired by Drug
– Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle While Impaired by Drug.
– Driving While Under Suspension (two counts)
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on October 3, 2018.
On September 4, 2018 officers received several traffic complaints involving a white pick-up truck travelling eastbound on highway 401 that was reported to be all over the road and unable to drive in a marked lane.
The pick-up truck was stopped by officers on highway 401 in Cramahe Township. As a result of the investigation the driver, 48 year old Rory Douglas VADER of Barrie, Ontario was charged with:
– Driving While Ability Impaired by Drug
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on October 3, 2018.
