Quinte West OPP – Quinte West Man Charged with Impaired on Electric Scooter (Name Released)

The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges in an impaired investigation.

On Sunday, April 5, 2026, at approximately 7:00 p.m., a traffic stop on Marmora Street in Trenton led to an investigation where an ASD was used, resulting in the arrest of the operator for being impaired. The individual was transported to the detachment for further testing.

David HANNA, age 66, from Quinte West was charged with the following offences:

Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on May 7, 2026. Additionally, their licence was suspended for 90 days.
