Youth arrested for Weapons Dangerous – Cobourg Police

The Cobourg Police have charged a youth after receiving a report of a person brandishing a weapon.

On Friday the 16th of March, 2018, at approximately 8:50 pm, police responded to the Cobourg Community Centre for a report of a youth in possession of a knife.  No one was injured in the incident and there is no threat to public safety.

As a result of the police investigation the youth, who cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was arrested and charged with Assault with a weapon, Uttering Threats, Weapons Dangerous, and Carrying a Concealed Weapon under the Criminal Code.  The Youth was released on a Promise to Appear and Officer in Charge Undertaking with conditions
