Northumberland OPP – Road Rage Incident

On August 15, 2019 just after midnight members from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call regarding a road rage incident that occurred on Maplewood Avenue in the town of Brighton.

A black BMW sedan was travelling eastbound on County Road 2 at approximately 11:50 pm on August 14, 2019 when a grey Ford Fusion proceeded to pass tossing coffee from the vehicle which dispursed onto the windshield of the BMW. The driver of the BMW followed the suspect vehicle onto Maplewood Avenue. The driver of the Ford stopped, exited the vehi cle, grabbed a yellow crow bar from the trunk and proceeded to smash the passenger side windshield of the BMW with the passenger seated inside. The suspect then proceeded back to his vehicle and drove away.

The occupants of the BMW were uninjured.
