Northumberland Nighthawks Score In OT To Take The First Game Against Markham Waxers in OMHA Semi-Final Bantam AA Action

Northumberland Nighthawks took the first game over the Markham Waxers in the OMHA semi-final Bantam AA game at the Cobourg Community Centre on Wednesday, February 28, 2018.
The goal tending by Nate Cullen and strong defensive work kept the Nighthawks in the game.
It was a scoreless game up until 11:48 of the third period when Logan Kelly scored an unassisted goal.
With only 51 second to go in the game and Markham serving a penalty, they pulled the goalie to even things up and tied the game.
Going into the 10 minutes overtime, Markham clearly dominated play, but with only four seconds left, and a never give up attitude Isaac Macleod got the game winning goal with an assist by Caleb Shore.
The next game is in Markham with the teams returning on Sunday at 5 p.m. at the CCC
The series is a best out of five or first one to get six points.
