Township of Cramahe Announces New Parks, Recreation & Facilities Manager

Cramahe Township is pleased to announce that Greg Metcalfe will be taking on the role of Parks, Recreation & Facilities Manager.

A lifelong Northumberland County resident, Greg brings nearly 30 years of municipal operations experience, including 17 years with Cramahe Township. He began with the Township as a Facility Operator and has served as Lead Hand of Parks, Recreation & Facilities since 2014.

Greg has been part of the Township’s succession planning process and was identified as the planned successor to the Manager position. His extensive knowledge of the Township’s facilities, parks, operations and staff will support a smooth and seamless transition.

In addition to his significant hands-on experience, Greg holds a Parks & Recreation Management certificate and a range of industry certifications, including Certified Ice Technician, Certified Arena Plant Refrigeration, Certified Grounds, Certified Building and Canadian Certified Playground Inspector.

“I am excited about the opportunity to continue serving the residents of Cramahe Township in this new role,” said Greg Metcalfe. “I look forward to working alongside our Parks, Recreation & Facilities team and building on the excellent work they do every day to provide safe, welcoming and well-maintained community spaces.”

The Township looks forward to Greg continuing his long-standing commitment to the community and providing leadership to the Parks, Recreation & Facilities department.
