Video – Northumberland Ribfest Kicks Off With Food, Fun and Music in Cobourg

In Local, Photo Gallery

It was a beautiful evening for the start of Northumberland Ribfest in Cobourg.

With a perfect summer evening setting the stage, friends and families gathered at Victoria Park Friday to enjoy a blend of food, fun and live music.

The smell of barbecue filled the air as a number of ribbers fired up their grills, serving up ribs and other favourites to hungry crowds.

Over at the Victoria Park Bandshell, the entertainment kept the crowd moving as people settled in to enjoy the first night of the three-day event.

The grills were working overtime at Boss Hog’s, where the smoke and aroma of barbecue helped draw people toward the ribbers.

For many, Ribfest was as much about getting together with friends and enjoying the atmosphere as it was about the food.

Northumberland Ribfest continues throughout the weekend in Victoria Park, bringing more food, live entertainment and activities to Cobourg.
