Video – Cobourg By-Law Issues Notice to Vacate After Items Left in Victoria Park

In Local

A Cobourg by-law officer issued two Notices to Vacate after a number of unattended items were found in Victoria Park on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.

At approximately 6 p.m., a by-law officer discovered the belongings just south of King Street East. No one was in the area to claim ownership of the items.

A short time later, the officer attached two Notices to Vacate to the belongings.

The notice stated the “encampment is located on municipal property and must be vacated,” adding that all items were to be removed by 8 p.m. on August 4.

It was not immediately known whether the belongings were claimed before the deadline or later removed by the Town’s by-law department.
