Numerous Collisions After One Last Blast of Winter

There were numerous collisions, but no reports of any serious injuries following one last blast of winter on Friday, March 22, 2024.

Emergency services started to responding to collisions starting at around 6:30 p.m. and continued on for several hours throughout Northumberland County, but specifically, Port Hope, Cobourg, Hamilton Township and Alnwick/Haldimand Township.

A white van traveling westbound on Highway 401 rolled over with four occupants in the vehicle.  None were hurt.

Two vehicles collided on County Road 2, just east of the Grafton Legion.

A Northumberland OPP cruiser was rear-ended on County Road 2 in the area of the collision by Grafton Legion.

A vehicle traveling southbound on Archer’s Road hit the guardrail at Lakeshore Road.

On County Road 28 near Bewdley a vehicle rolled onto its roof.

In all incidents there were no serious injuries.
