Northumberland OPP – Three Drivers Charged with Impaired in Separate Incidents (Names Released)

Members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged three motorists in unrelated impaired driving investigations.

On February 11, 2026, at around 2:00 p.m., officers responded to a report of a pick-up truck in the ditch on Hillview Drive North in the Township of Hamilton. Police arrived and noted damage to nearby property belonging to a telecommunications company.

After speaking with the uninjured motorist, officers entered into an impaired operation investigation.

The driver was taken into custody and transported to a local detachment for further testing.

Brandon PITT (30) from the Township of Alnwick/Haldimand, has been charged with:

– Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

– Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused is due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in April.

 

On February 13, 2026, shortly after 3:30 p.m., police and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded following a report from a concerned member of the public regarding a commercial vehicle driver who was unresponsive on Vimy Ridge Road in the Township of Alnwick/Haldimand.

After interacting with the driver, officers began an impaired operation investigation, resulting in the motorist being taken into custody and transported to a local detachment for further testing.
Dylan LEDUC (33) from Belleville, has been charged with:

– Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

– Failure or refusal to comply with demand

– Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available

– Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available

The accused is due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in March.

 

On February 13, 2026, at approximately 9:30 p.m., OPP responded to a report of a pick-up truck in the ditch on County Road 18 in the Township of Alnwick/Haldimand.

Police located a person matching the description of the driver walking away from the area of the collision. Officers spoke to the uninjured individual and, following an impaired operation investigation, the person was taken into custody and transported to a local detachment.

David LAZAREVICH (56) from Roseneath, has been charged with:

– Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

– Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in March.

For each of the accused, a 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impound were also imposed.
