No Information Released from Cobourg Police Regarding Serious Collision Involving Pedestrian

Cobourg Police have once again released no information concerning a serious collision earlier this week.

On Thursday, January 22, 2026 at approximately 3:50 a.m. emergency services attended the area of 420 King Street West for a pedestrian that had been struck by a snow removal vehicle.

The person was rushed to hospital, but there has been no information released by Cobourg Police.

The Town of Cobourg has stated to Today’s Northumberland, “the incident on January 22 did not involve a Town of Cobourg vehicle. It was a contracted service to support Town of Cobourg snow clearing operations. The Town of Cobourg has followed up with the contractor and is awaiting further information.”

Cobourg Police has yet to release any information concerning the incident or the condition of the pedestrian.
