Video – Photo Gallery – Windy Weather Hits Northumberland County

In Local, Photo Gallery, Weather

It was a wild and windy day on Thursday, November 27, 2025 in the Northumberland County area and beyond.

Although there were power outages in the area it didn’t seem like there were any long outages from the high winds.

The waves were pounding against the piers and breakwalls both in Cobourg and Port Hope.

A few hearty surfers tried negotiating the waves, but coupled with the wind it sometimes made it hard to even walk out on the pier.

Around Cobourg a few branches were down along with wires, but crews were quickly onsite and power restored.

Near CR Gummow School in Cobourg and portable garage was tossed against a hydro pole.

There was no major damage reported throughout the area as a result of the weather conditions.
