Belleville Police – Incidents Include Mischief, Drug Arrests (Names Released)

Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 110 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on September 25, 2025 to 5:00 am on September 26, 2025.

Drug Arrests
On September 25th at approximately 9:20am, Belleville Police on patrol in the downtown area observed a male and a female consuming crystal methamphetamine from a glass pipe. Officers approached the individuals and placed them under arrest.
The glass pipe was seized still containing 0.3g of methamphetamine.
Further investigation revealed the male was bound by a probation order.
As a result of police investigation, the following persons were arrested and charged:
Hailey Lindsay, 31-year-old Belleville woman, was charged with the following offence and released on an Undertaking with a court date in November:
1. Possession of Methamphetamine 4(1) CDSA

Josh Lemche, 35-year-old Belleville man of no fixed address, was charged with the following offences and released on an Undertaking with a court date in November:
1. Possession of Methamphetamine 4(1) CDSA
2. Breach of Probation 733.1(1) CC

 

Mischief
On September 25th, the Belleville Police Service received multiple calls and hang ups from the same phone number. On several occurrences, voice contact was made with an individual who reported he was being followed. Officers investigated the allegations with negative results.
At 10:15am, a 26-year-old Belleville man was arrested for the repeated 911 communications. He was released on an Undertaking with conditions to not call 911 or the Belleville Police Service unless for emergency purposes.
The male continued to contact Belleville Police Service for non-emergent issues and was cautioned.

At approximately 2:40pm, following continued 911 calls, officers attended his residence. He was arrested and charged with:
· Failing to comply with an Undertaking
· Public Mischief
· Common nuisance

He was held for a bail hearing.
