Indecent Act Arrest

An 88-year-old Bobcaygeon man is facing charges after an incident Tuesday night.

At approximately 11:00pm on August 26, 2025, officers were called to a business parking lot on Chemong Road after a male reported a man had attempted to solicit him from his vehicle.

As a result of the investigation, an 88-year-old Bobcaygeon man was arrested and charged with:

Indecent Act- public place
The accused was released on an undertaking and scheduled to appear in court October 7, 2025.

 

Weapons/ Utter Threats Arrest

A 29-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after an altercation took place at a residence Tuesday afternoon.

At approximately 12:15pm, officers were dispatched to a residence in the Aylmer and London Street area to a report of an altercation taking place. Upon arrival, officers located a man matching the description given to police leaving the residence. Officers learned that the accused had returned to the property after being recently evicted and had threatened to harm a person residing in the house with a weapon.

As a result of the investigation, a 29-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:

Break, Enter a dwelling house with intent to commit indictable offence
Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose x2
Uttering Threats – Cause death or Bodily Harm
Fail to Comply with Probation Order
The accused is currently bound by a probation order with the following conditions: to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, August 27, 2025.
