The Port Hope Police Service and Cobourg Police Service have concluded Project Rubicon, a joint project spanning multiple jurisdictions across Ontario, which began following the theft of approximately $500,000 worth of copper wiring from Port Hope in August 2025.

Charges include:

- Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5,000
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Heroin (x2)
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Cocaine

- Theft of Motor Vehicle (x13)
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 (x6)
