Northumberland OPP – Trent Hills Man Charged with Theft (Name Released)

On November 24, 2024, police received a report regarding a theft of a mini excavator from an address on County Road 30 in the Municipality of Trent Hills.

The caller advised that just under a month prior, the excavator was loaned to a person known to them on the condition it be returned.

The machine was not returned by the accused and officers began an investigation into the matter.

On March 3, 2025, Mark BLIGHT (age 43) from the Municipality of Trent Hills, was charged with:

– Theft over $5,000.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date.
