Breaking News – Quinte West OPP – Two People Killed in Head-On Collision in Trenton

A serious collision involving two vehicles on Old Highway 2, in the City of Quinte West, has left two people deceased.

 On Tuesday, January 14, 2025, around 3:45 p.m., officers with the Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the collision near Quinte View Drive.

One driver was pronounced deceased at scene. A passenger in that vehicle was pronounced deceased after being transported to hospital.

The second driver was transported to hospital with unknown injuries.

Old Hwy 2, between RCAF Road and Whites Road, remains closed for the investigation. Members of the Technical Collision Investigation team and an OPP Collision Reconstructionist are assisting members of Quinte West OPP.

The roadway was reopened at 10 p.m.
