Breaking News – Main Building of Beyond the Blue Box Destroyed by Fire in Cobourg

Fire has destroyed the main building of Beyond the Blue Box in Cobourg.

Cobourg Fire Department were called to the structure fire at 14 Covert Street, Beyond the Blue Box at 3:37 a.m.

When fire crews arrived, visible flames were coming from the west side of the main building.

Fire crews knocked down the flames from the outside, and quickly made an interior attack, but the fire was well involved inside the building and fire crews had to evacuate and take a defensive attack.

Fire crews are still at the scene and Covert Street is closed until further notice.

The fire is believed to have started from the outside of the building.

No other buildings were damaged on the site.
