Northumberland OPP Investigating Robbery in Port Hope

(PORT HOPE, ON) – On October 24, 2022, shortly after 3:30a.m., members of the Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) detachment responded to a call for a robbery with a weapon that occurred at a business in Port Hope.

The suspect in the robbery is described as a male, white, approximately 6′ tall, medium build, wearing a black trench coat, black hat, with a red scarf covering his face, and wearing white gloves.

During the robbery, the suspect demanded money from the cash register, and further struck the victim with a baseball bat, who suffered minor injuries as a result. The suspect then fled the scene.

The Northumberland OPP Crime Unit, in conjunction with OPP Forensic Identification Services (FIS) is continuing to investigate this occurrence and is asking anyone with information in regards to this incident to call their nearest OPP detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
