Cobourg Cougars Host Mississauga Friday Night

In Hockey
The Cobourg Cougars will play their fifth of six straight games in their own rink on Friday night.
Two of the games were during the Ontario Junior Hockey League’s Governors’ Showcase last week and one was technically listed as a road game on the regular season schedule, but the Cougars are certainly enjoying home time at the Cobourg Community Centre.
After two wins at the Showcase, the Cougars were defeated 5-1 by the Markham Royals this past Saturday evening at the CCC. They rebounded Monday night with a 4-2 victory over the visiting North York Rangers.
Cobourg held leads of 1-0 and 2-1 before pulling away in the third after the Rangers had evened the score at two.
Caleb Thompson, Andy Reist, Trevor Hoskin and Tommy Kamiris scored for the Cougars.
Friday night, the Cougars (now 5-2-0-0) will host the Mississauga Chargers (2-4-0-0). Game time is 7 p.m. at the CCC.
Cobourg will then welcome the Trenton Golden Hawks to town on Monday evening, also a 7 p.m. start at the CCC.
