Video – Photo Gallery – Cobourg Legion Pipes and Drums Bring Music and Memories to Local Seniors

In Community, Local, Photo Gallery

The sound of bagpipes and drums filled the air Tuesday evening as the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 133 Cobourg Pipes and Drums entertained residents at Legion Village and the Victoria Retirement Residence on July 7, 2026.

The performance was part of the band’s annual summer tradition of bringing live music to area retirement and nursing homes, giving residents an opportunity to enjoy an evening of familiar tunes and the unmistakable sound of the pipes.

The band practices every Tuesday evening throughout the year, but during the summer months members take their music into the community, performing at local seniors’ residences on several Tuesday nights.

For many residents, the visits are more than just a concert — they are a chance to reconnect with memories, celebrate local traditions, and enjoy the spirit of the community.
