In Community, Local, Photo Gallery

The sounds of brass, woodwinds and percussion once again filled Victoria Park as the Concert Band of Cobourg launched its 2026 summer concert season on Tuesday, July 7.

The opening performance marked the return of one of Cobourg’s longest-standing summer traditions, bringing residents and visitors together for an evening of live music in the heart of the community.

The annual Concerts in the Park series begins each year on the Tuesday following Canada Day and continues throughout the summer, weather permitting. The free performances are held every Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m. in Victoria Park, with audiences encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy a variety of musical selections in an outdoor setting.

The Concert Band of Cobourg has entertained generations of audiences with performances ranging from classic concert band repertoire and movie themes to marches, popular favourites and patriotic selections.

Everyone is welcome to attend the weekly concerts, which have become a cherished summer tradition in Cobourg, offering an enjoyable evening of music under the open sky.
