Police Execute a Second Search Warrant at an Illegal Cannabis Dispensary

 

Investigators executed a third search warrant and charged the owner of an illegal cannabis dispensary in Oshawa.

 

On the evening of September 13, 2022, members of the Central East Division Community Response Team executed a search warrant at “Oshaweed” arresting the owner and two associates. A second search warrant was executed at a residential address in Woodbridge. In total, investigators seized over $45,000 in cannabis and cannabis products. 

 

Trung NGUYEN, age 35, of Woodbridge, was charged with Possess Cannabis for the Purpose of Selling x 3 and Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime Over $5000. He was held for a bail hearing.

 

Steven THOMPSON, age 40 of Oshawa is charged with: Possess Cannabis for the Purpose of Selling; Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime Over $5000 and Fail to Comply with Undertaking. He was held for a bail hearing.

 

Thomas PEREZ, age 21 of Woodbridge is charged with Obstruct Peace Officer and Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime Over $5000. He was released on an Undertaking.

Police seized items in a drug investigation of an unlicensed cannabis dispensary in Oshawa.

 

On Wednesday, August 3, 2022, members of the Central East Division Community Response Team with the assistance of the Drug Enforcement Unit executed a second search warrant at “Oshaweed” an unlicensed cannabis dispensary on King Street West. Officers seized cannabis, cash and other cannabis products worth a combined value of approximately $25,000.

 

A 40-year-old male employee, of Oshawa is charged with Possess Cannabis for the Purpose of Selling. He was released on an Undertaking.
